Yay, we have a new column!
We have gotten really sweet feedback on our Tutorial column and at the same time, learnt that many of our readers are interested/getting started with graphic design. Well, as it is in most subjects, there are always the theoretical and the practical aspects to learn. Design Talk is our lite version of theory lessons, it is us at our nerdiest.
The first topic? Image file formats!
Do you know the difference between raster and vector? When to use a JPEG instead of a TIFF? What is a PNG file? There are so many different extensions and it can get pretty tricky if you don’t know when to use what.
Before we get to the file types, let us first understand what is the difference between a raster and a vector.
